I've not heard the YYY's song but will take your word for it about it being catchy. And don't get me started about Lady Gaga. Not a fan at all.

While I do like Horehound a lot, I like Them Crooked Vultures a whole heck of a lot more.

Perplexio - I liked the Them Crooked Vultures album, but I didn't love it. It may be one of those albums I'll come to appreciate with more time, but after my first few listens I enjoyed it but not to the same extent as I thought I would.

I haven't heard about that supergroup, but the lineup certainly sounds pretty impressive.

Musicobsessive - Hmmm... That performance sounds interesting. I'll see if I can find it on YouTube or something.

Glad to see Lady Gaga geting the plaudits for live act. Her Glastonbury Festival appearance was sensational. For someone who works primarily in the electro-pop genre, it was interesting to see her use a live rock quartet to back her up and it worked brilliantly. I mean, hard rock guitar solos in the middle of 'Poker Face'? Huh, just dance...

Interesting choices. Where does Them Crooked Vultures fall on your list? Do they get an honorable mention for best debut album or were you underwhelmed by them?

Oh and have you heard the rumblings about the Glenn Hughes supergroup that's in the works with Kevin Shirley producing? There's quite a who's who of musicians rumored to also be in the band, but Hughes is the only confirmed member at this time. Given recent remarks, Joe Bonamassa, is being particularly heavily rumored to be in the band as well. Jason Bonham, David Coverdale, & Jimmy Page are also rumored to be attached to this latest Hughes project which is being described as "an orgasm for the mind."

They'll either be the Them Crooked Vultures of 2010 or the Chickenfoot of 2010 depending on whether or not they live up to their hype, talent, and potential.
