Summer Concert Series Coming to a Close
One of the great things about the summer is the abundance of concerts, especially for those who love their outdoor venues. Unfortunately the summer is rapidly approaching its end and as the beautiful weather is dissipating so are the concerts. Personally my summer had some pretty great concerts, I didn't attend as many as I was hoping for a variety of reasons, but in the end I saw some of the best shows of my life. Here is a list of the concerts I saw this summer:Tool: 6/9/07 at Boardwalk Hall, NJ
Rush: 7/8/07 at PNC Bank Arts Center, NJ
The White Stripes: 7/24/07 at Madison Square Garden, NY
Rock the Bells Festival featuring Rage Against the Machine: 7/28/07 at Randall's Island, NY
In early September I plan on seeing Lynyrd Skynyrd with the Blue Oyser Cult to close the season, hopefully I actually go. For the rest of this week I will dedicate my posts to concerts, and everyones cooperation for a number of the posts would really make it more enjoyable. If everybody else could list their concerts this summer, that would be great.

Jeff, I'm glad you had such a great concert summer! I hope that next year has some more class acts on both of our coasts!
I'll probably go see Van Halen just to say "I did this 20 years ago and here I am again" but I don't know...depends on the cost of a ticket.
Layla - I bet those VH tickets will be expensive to say the least. I'm not a big fan of there's so I'm sure I'll be skipping their reunion tour, if there ever is one.
I love rock n roll outside in the summer too.
I didn't see a lot this summer at all. A couple shows I hoped to catch I just didn't get to. I was lucky enough to get a free ticket to the first day of the Virgin Fest here in Baltimore. It's really unusual for me to see anything that big, because I generally don't like the mainstream rock crowds. Virgin Fest was cool though.
Bob - I went to Virgin last year and loved it. I wasn't impressed with the bands this year as much as last year although I would have really liked to have seen The Smashing Pumpkins. After last years experience, I don't think I would have physically been able to make it for two days though.
I would have loved to have seen any of the shows that you did this summer.
In my old age (38), I don't go to as many concerts. I did see the Police and had a blast. And I'm thinking about seeing the Marilyn Manson / Slayer double-bill. Evil!!!!!!!! lol
