Two Things to Note
Today I went for an interview for a new job with the US Attorneys Office for the district of New Jersey. I really wanted the spot because this would be the first politically oriented job that I would have and for those who do not know Political Science is my major and I wish to have a career with the government. I took the train up and was all prepared and even went over some common interviewing questions, I wore my suit and tie and was all ready for my interview. Once I got there they brought me in to be interviewed after filling out a bunch of paper work and then I was hired on the spot "tentatively" until they review my background and such so in October I should be ready to start my new job at the US Attorneys Office. The second thing I wanted to say was that lately I have been playing around with the idea of opening a second blog for myself dedicated strictly to reviewing albums. The reason I don't want to just review albums on here is because I sort of want to keep this blog more of an "essay" type of blog if you know what I mean. The only problem I have with having two blogs is that I'm afraid it will detract me from posting on each one as much as I wish. I am going to fool around with the idea a bit more and if I do indeed decide to open up a second blog then I will post about it here right away!

CONGRATULATIONS on the Job !!
Congrats on the job! And Kudos to your sense of civic responsibility and political activity. I don't know that our politics are the same but, regardless, I respect people who are proactive in those beliefs and not afraid to put their money where their mouth is (so to speak) when it comes to those beliefs.
As far as keeping 2 blogs, I kind of now keep 4 of them. But on 3 of them I'm posting similar or identitical posts (for different audiences). On the 4th I keep my CD, Movie, and book reviews. I update it at leisure. There was a stretch where I was updating daily, but lately I've been so busy I'm lucky if I update it weekly. I tend to have more free time in the winter months so that's when it gets updated with greater frequency.
At any rate, blogging isn't really a career it's a hobby. You should enjoy it. Don't worry about the frequency of your updates. Update as you see fit, at your leisure. I mean it is your blog-- or if you start a 2nd one-- they would BOTH be your blogs. You call the shots with them. You're your own boss. If you keep the attitude that its a hobby, you should be able to continue to enjoy it regardless of how frequently or infrequently you post on it.
Congratulations Jeff!
Thank you all!
Perplexio - Very good point about the blog being a hobby and not a job, I often feel obligated to post when I really don't have anything to write. That will certainly help when making my decission.
Get the heck out! That is AWESOME JEFF! Way to go! I was in HR for 9 years and the only reason someone will hire you on the spot is because you are so damn perfect for the job they don't want to chance losing you!
As for two blogs _ JUST DO IT
Congratulations on the job. If two blogs doesn't work out then you can always go back so it will work out one way or the other. I like to review albums, but I just do two a week and then concentrate on other music topics the rest of the week.
Congrats on the new job, nothing is more fulfilling than doing something you enjoy for a living.
As far as 2 blogs, if you have the time, go for it. I was going to create another for Fantasy Football but I nixed the idea, just not enough time in the day.
Layla - I just think you are right, I need to just do it, and therefore I will. Also, I hope I was the perfect candidate, I studied common interviewing questions for like two hours so I was really prepared.
Metal Mark - Very true, I am going to try it out.
Vicious Steve - I can't wait to start, finally something that I have interest in.
