Kurt Cobain Found Murdered on April 8th, 1994

I have a tendency to love controversies regarding death of musicians. In my first year of college I gave a presentation on why Jim Morrison was alive. I don’t honestly believe that he is but it’s quite an interesting topic, but one death conspiracy that I do go along with is the fact that Kurt did NOT kill himself. It was all too easy to pin a suicide against Cobain, the way he loved to be isolated and his infamous angst but I cannot find solace in the fact that everyone agrees that Kurt committed suicide. Now I have information to back up what people believe as an unorthodox idea of him being murdered.

First we must observe some important factors before the “suicide” had occurred. The most important factor to look at is the issues in the relationship between Love and Cobain. Cobain was getting ready to divorce Love and obviously that would be quite a blow to Love who was a wannabe rock star and would have lost a lot of money if Kurt had left her. Around a week before the “suicide” Love had hired a divorce lawyer, so clearly the fact that Kurt wanted a divorce was not unknown by Love.

Now on to the actual “suicide” itself. Kurt had enough heroin in his bloodstream to kill a man three times and apparently the injection was done in a rather sloppy way indicating that it was possibly done by force. Now this is where a great question comes into play. How can a man shoot himself with that much heroin in his system? With an injection it goes immediately into your blood system so it works immediately. No man can function with that amount of heroin in their system, and why would he shoot himself if he already would have killed himself with that amount of heroin in his system. The next big telling thing is the “suicide note.” Not exactly a suicide note if you ask me, more or less a note describing his feelings and states nothing about suicide. The note described Kurt leaving the music industry and not killing himself, the only part that could have been considered suicidal was a footnote and the handwriting just does not match up to Kurt’s, and this has been said by various handwriting experts. There is more evidence leading to this being a murder instead of a suicide but I don’t feel like writing a novel about it. I can only hope that the case can be re-opened so Kurt can receive some justice and not be seen as some suicidal maniac. The only maniac here is Courtney Love and this case needs to be re-examined. Kurt was a good man and that often gets overlooked, he cared about people on a high level and that is often forgotten.

WOW, Jeff, I confess, I did not know these details, or at least had not contemplated them all at once. I would not doubt for a second that Courtney would be capable of such a thing - the woman is clearly not mentally or emotionally balanced.

I feel really sad reading this. I hope that you are right. I hope that he didn't kill himself.

But...why would the cops so easily dismiss all this evidence? Forgive me for being ignorant about this - but do other people share your view? If so why wasn't/isn't there more of an outcry!

You are a brilliant and gifted writer with lots of compassion and knowledge. I am not saying that to be nice, believe me I am not in a nice mood today. :(

You are definitely not ignorant for not knowing these things. The subject does recieve a decent amout of attention, there are several books on the topic and even a movie. I am not quite sure why the cops copletely dismissed all the information, it just seems that they had came to a quick conclusion. There are some really great websites on the topic which explain the whole thing MUCH better than I do and have substantially more evidence than I gave. Here is one great site on the topic http://www.cobaincase.com/index2.html

Hi jeff,

I'm not sure if you've seen this movie: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0138563
It's a documentary about Kurt and Courtney's relationship and even interviews a private eye that was hired by Courtney to keep tabs on Kurt and it implies, keep him drugged up. I think Courtney must have had something to do with his death. She seems so sketchy and self-serving. I can't beleive the case hasn't been reopened yet. Just based on the FACT that the about of heroin in Kurt's bloodstream would make it impossible for him to even lift a gun, let alone cock it and shoot it.

I've felt that way about them reopening the case for awhile but I don't see it happening. I also have no love for Love. I do need to see that movie they released recently about the issues surrounding his death.

Hi, I'm writing an articl for my college class on how I believe, and there is full proof to suggest Kurt was indeed murdered.

I would greatly appreciate your help with this, if you are willing.

the investigation into Kurts death at the scene that day was pathetic. Kurt cobain was the victim of a shoddy police investigation. Yet this should be obvious to many since two of the officers on scene that day originally lied about the marks on kurts hands. There were never any marks on kurts hands to assume he fired that shotgun, why did Jim Yoshida and Detective Steve Kirkland lie in thier report? about a year or so later one of the other officers detective Don Cameron has been accused of staging crime scenes along with another detective. He has also been accused of stealing precious valuables from victims. Cameron was one of the detectives on scene at Kurts body, and was later kicked off the police squad for what he was accused of but not convicted for... there is way to much information surrounding this mans death to feel like things are right. I believe Kurt cobain deserves a better investigation into his death.. and im willing to debate it till the case reopens i've read so much.. some good websites:

Will you people stop with this murder nonsense. I love Nirvana, but Cobain was a manic depressive, was physically crippled by stomach disease and had a chronic, debilitating and frequently, nigh on lethal heroin addiction. It's tragic when people we admire die, but the fact is he killed himself, and had tried it before. His extraordinary talent was too much for his physical person and he couldn't deal with what it brought him. I'm off to listen to Very Ape, I think you should all grow up...
